What does the test consist of?

The RoSPA Advanced Test lasts for about one and a half hours, and you will be examined by a Police Class One driver or rider over a route consisting of all types of road conditions. You will be assessed on your overall performance; how you respond to what is happening around you and the smoothness of the drive.

Do you have to provide a commentary?

This is not formally examined however the examiner may request a commentary for a few minutes, as this will help him/her to judge your observation and planning.
